چکیده
Heavy metal pollution is one of the essential pollutions, and phytoremediation preferred methods to eliminate this pollution. The use degradable chelating agent for efficiency a promising low-cost method removing soil contaminated with heavy metals. In study, it was investigated whether phenanthroline humic acid increase activities Brassica napus L. Chenopodium quinoa Wild. species their applicability. study carried out under greenhouse conditions 3 replications according complete random block trial design by applying 4 doses each (i) control (without chelate), (ii) EDTA, (iii) nitro, (iv) pyridine, (v) 1-10 (vi) treatments (0, 2.5, 5 10 mmol kg-1 obtained results showed that highest tolerance indices (TI) B. found at 2.5 nitro chelate. TI C. pyridine Maximum Pb accumulations were chelates in quinoa, respectively. both species, while high roots, they low stems leaves. Bioconcentration factors (BCF) calculated These used as hyperaccumulator plants many studies. Increasing performance be cleaning habitats exposed will phytoremediation.

Arbuscular mycorrhizal phytoremediation of soils contaminated with phenanthrene and pyrene.
An available remediation technique--arbuscular mycorrhizal phytoremediation (AMPR)--is further proposed for soils contaminated with phenanthrene and pyrene as representative polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) utilizing a greenhouse pot experiment. The initial concentrations of phenanthrene and/or pyrene in soils were 103 mg kg(-1) and 74 mg kg(-1), respectively. The host plant was alfalfa ...

The distribution of minerals in quinoa (Chenopodium quinoa Willd.) seed was examined using energy dispersive X-ray microanalysis (EDX) in combination with scanning electron microscopy (SEM). Phosphorus, K, and Mg coincided in localization in embryonic tissue. Since phytin globoids have been known to localize in protein bodies in embryonic cells of quinoa seed, it is thought that P is attributed...
متن کاملRecent advances in phytoremediation of arsenic-contaminated soils
Arsenic contamination in soils occurs widely in a range of ecosystems resulting from geological origins and anthropogenic activities. On average, arsenic concentration ranges from 5 to 10 mg kg−1 in uncontaminated soils and above 10 mg kg−1 in contaminated soils (Hossain, 2006). Increased buildup of arsenic in irrigated soils has been widely recognized in South and South-east Asia (Brammer and ...

BACKGROUND, AIM, AND SCOPE The use of plants and associated microorganisms to remove, contain, inactivate, or degrade harmful environmental contaminants (generally termed phytoremediation) and to revitalize contaminated sites is gaining more and more attention. In this review, prerequisites for a successful remediation will be discussed. The performance of phytoremediation as an environmental r...
